New Research: Synergy with Vitamin C shown by CyanthOx™

Newly published research reported that CyanthOx™ sea buckthorn polyphenols extract (flavonoids and proanthocyanidins) showed synergistic effects with Vitamin C. When CyanthOx™ was combined with Vitamin C in a 2:8 ratio, the combined index of DPPH radical scavenging and total reducing capacity was reported to be 0.142, which indicated a strong synergistic effect. In particular, the total reducing powder was almost 90% higher than Vitamin C on its own.

These findings align with the results from a clinical trial, which shows that the polyphenols from sea buckthorn can help improve participants’ antioxidant levels, by boosting SOD, GSH-Px, and reducing MDA. Moreover, CyanthOx™ has also been shown to stimulate circulating stem cells in our body by nearly 40%, which help rejuvenate cells and tissues, supporting healthy aging.
