On-Site Organic Inspection

An on-site inspection is conducted once a year to assure our farm and factory meeting the organic standards from multi-national certifiers.

For the farm, inspector evaluates:

• Sources of seeds, seedlings, and planting stock

• Crop health and growth

• Soil tilth and fertility management, including crop rotation

• Pest, disease, and weed management strategies.

For the process, inspector evaluates:

• Processing methodologies

• All processing and storage areas where organic products can be mingled with non-organic products

• Areas where organic products can be contaminated with prohibited substances

• Sanitation and pest management

• Packaging and labeling

The inspector may need to collect soil, tissue, or product samples for analysis if there is a reason to believe that organic products or inputs have come in contact with prohibited substances or were produced using genetically engineered organisms.
